Wednesday August 29th 1900 The boys took an early start to the farm and I followed with the dinner. We did some locating of fences &c. I came back down home awhile to see how Mother was getting along. I got home before the boys. Thursday August 30th 1900 Will churned for me. I got the butter ready today did some baking and canned tomatoes. Will went to town for coal to thresh tomorrow. I was down to see Emma Kines just before supper Friday August 31st 1900 I was busy with the work all forenoon Will took the butter to town this morning. The boys both went to help Mr Henley thresh in the afternoon They finished what he had and our stacks down in Eds field and were here for late supper. Will took Emma home after supper. Saturday September 1st 1900 Emma came back this morning and we got up a nice dinner by noon. The boys stopped a little time for a shower but finished by four oclock Emma and I cleaned the house all up and put up some plums. Will took her home before supper Leonard went to town.
