Tuesday June 10, 1902 I took up the carpet in Mollie's room before noon and in the afternoon took the carpet out of the kitchen and put another one down. Will plowed corn after he had hoed the garden in the evening. We had a terrible rain about eight oclock. Wednesday June 11, 1902 There was a terrific storm about midnight. We got up and went to the cellar. Will was sick today. Fred was busy all day fixing fence that had blown down and cleaning up after the storm. I had churning done in the morning and took up the hall & stairs carpet. I sewed a little in the afternoon. Grandma 100 years old today if living. Thursday June 12, 1902 Fred said this morning that John had telephoned out last night that I was invited out to Aunt Emmas today. Will went with me as far as town. I stopped at home a moment and found Aunt Lydias and Alice and Aunt Sarah had come for a visit till the women of the family were out at Aunt Emmas. She had such a nice dinner and we had such a good time. I hurried home to keep out of the rain.
