Tuesday February 16th 1897 Will had help and they took the hogs to the valley this morning. He went to town in the afternoon. John and I washed all afternoon and we all worked till ten oclock packing things to move tomorrow. Henry moved out today. Wednesday February 17th 1897 We were up early and packing away the last things. The boys came by nine oclock and there were seven waggons loaded besides our own. I got a little dinner for ourselves and George Jordan and John went back after the chickens. It was ten oclock before we had beds up and were ready to go to rest. It was warm enough to thaw in the forenoon but turned colder in the afternoon. Thursday February 18th 1897 The boys carried the cup-boards into the kitchen and I unpacked the dishes and put the kitchen to rights a little. They took some of the furniture up stairs and sorted things out some. After dinner John & George went after more things. I got the two front room floors cleaned and wiped up the kitchen floor making things look better. Friday February 19th 1897 The boys went up for more things and were gone all day. Will and I put down the carpet in the two front rooms down stairs and our bed-room up stairs, and got the stove up so we could have our room warm to take a bath. I got some of my silver ready to take up home tomorrow for Father & Mothers wedding dinner. I did churning and baking today. Weather milder.
