Tuesday October 5th 1897 I hurried through the morning work and got to my sewing. In the afternoon Ida Anderson came with the baby and Emma was over. The wind blow the dust very bad today. went down to Eds in evening. Wednesday October 6th 1897 I worked and churned today and did a lot of sweeping and dusting. I was at that kind of work till time to get our suppers. I was too tired to do any thing but go to bed at night. A stranger here for dinner and Will traded horses with him. Thursday October 7th 1897 I took an early start to town this morning. I went directly home and after dinner Mother went to town with me. I hurried around with all my might but it was nearly night when I got home. I read after the supper work was done. Friday October 8th 1897 I had ironing, churning and baking to do today. I got the butter ready to go to town tomorrow. We got a man to begin work today. I did mending in the evening. Saturday October 9th 1897 Will was up town most of the day. I was busy sewing all day. I was over to Emmas and Callies jist before supper. I sewed all the evening. weather cooler. Sunday October 10th 1897 I got my morning work done and went down to church with Emma. I got our dinner and we went over to Wilsons but did not stay long as it looked like rain. drove up to Nelsons to get my shawl so we came back. Did the evening work and read and wrote some. It is a year ago today since I started to Delavan.
