Saturday November 13th 1897 Will went to town this forenoon. I was busy about the work all forenoon had dinner at eleven oclock. I worked in the rags all afternoon and evening. The boys went away after an early supper. Letters from Ida says she is to be married soon to Mr Cutler of Carthage Mo. Sunday November 14th 1897 Will went down the road of an errand in the forenoon. I read some after I finished the morning work. Frank and Lib Stevens were here in the afternoon. Us girls went over to see Emma Weldie a little while. I read and wrote in the evening. Monday November 15th 1897 It began raining so the boys did not get a load of corn before they had to leave the field. I got the meals and did some mending. It turned colder at night. Tuesday November 16th 1897 I was busy with the work all forenoon, had dinner early, and went over to help Callie quilt in the afternoon. The boys husked corn today. Wednesday November 17th 1898 Will pumped water to do the washing and went to town with a load of corn for Henry. I did washing alone but did not get through till afternoon. Cleaned up kitchen and fried doughnuts. I made mince meat in the evening. Thursday November 18th 1897 Will took hogs to town this morning. Charlie hauled one load for him. I ironed and churned, finished fixing the mince meat. In the evening did a lot of mending Wills six hogs brought $71.00
