Friday November 19th 1897 I did baking and got the butter ready to go to town. In the afternoon I raked yard, got supper over and read some. Pete quit work this morning and Will hired Emanuel Leonard who worked so long for Willie Anderson. weather very pleasant. Saturday November 20th 1897 Will took the butter to town. I had churning and baking to do. Made pressed chicken and got dinner early. I swept up stairs brought the plants down and put them in the window and worked a little in the yard. I was so tired I was nearly sick when night came. It was thirteen years today since Charlie & Ida was married and jist such a beautiful day as this has been. When Will came tonight he brought the cards that Ida was married two days ago to Mr F M Cutler of Carthage Ill. Sunday November 21st 1897 I did the morning work and went down to S S and church with Charlie Mc--. I got us some dinner when I came home and went over to see Emma awhile. I read and wrote in the evening. Monday November 22nd 1897 Will helped me wash this forenoon and in the afternoon I churned and did cleaning up. I cut carpet for rugs in evening. Tuesday November 23rd 1897 I ironed in the forenoon, got the dinner. I washed out the lace curtains in the afternoon, cut carpet in the evening. Wednesday November 24th 1897 I took up the sitting room carpet partly before dinner. Will and I were invited over to Emmas for dinner, did not stay long. I put the carpet down and Will churned for me after I came home. I got the butter all done up to take to town tomorrow
