Tuesday January 11th 1898 I got my work down in good time and the folks all come. I had my dinner ready in good time and we all had a good visit indeed. Manuel took a load of wood to town. Wednesday January 12th 1898 I sewed all the time I could spare from the regular work today. Our dinner was late for Manuel took wood to town again today. It rained a part of the day. Thursday January 13th 1898 I was at work in the kitchen all the forenoon doing cooking. I had churning to do but a little time to sew. The boys are getting up wood. Friday January 14th 1898 Will took the butter to town today. I got the dinner over early and went up to Gregorys to call. he stopped there for me and I called down at Emmas too before time to get supper. I read in the evening. Saturday January 15th 1898 I put in the entire day doing mending and doing extra work about the house. The boys were at work at the wood. It snowed last night and has turned colder. Sunday January 16th 1898 It was a cold frosty morning. We went to church though and over home for dinner. They had turkey and Ott & Fannie with Mr & Mrs Lichtly were there. We had a very pleasant visit. Come home did evening work and read in the evening.
