Monday April 4th 1898 I was busy with the work a great part of the forenoon. I churned after dinner and was over to see Emma. I got in three hours practice today. I wrote in the evening. Tuesday April 5th 1898 It was very cold for the time of year. The boys are putting in the oats. I went up to Ida Anderson in the afternoon, did not find her at home and came back to Stevens. I found her there. Did evening work and dressed a turkey for dinner tomorrow. Wednesday April 6th 1898 I hurried through with the work this morning. It was eleven oclock when Lizzie Lindley and Fanny Graham came with the little girls. I had dinner jist ready when Lee and Mother come. We had such a good visit. I did the work after they went home. Thursday April 7th 1898 I practices part of the forenoon and was over to Emmas a few moments. The men came to put in a new pump. I took my music lesson in the afternoon. Friday April 8th 1898 I did the work and put in a good deal of time at the piano. There was a little rain at noon but the boys went right on with the oats and got it nearly done. Fred Stevens came done this evening and said Mother was not very well. Saturday April 9th 1898 Will went to town without me this morning. I had a
