Friday June 3rd 1898 I hurried through with the work and got started to town. The heat was terrible. I went over home for dinner. I soon came back to town to see Lizzie Lindley she is going west. I stopped at Aunt Ellens on my way home. Did evening work. Saturday June 4th 1898 Will went to town for the day. I worked in garden. Did a lot of baking and got dinner. I took my sewing and wen down to Callies in the afternoon. Did evening work, took bath and got ready for bed. Sunday June 5th 1898 The boys were both gone for the day. I was busy with the work most of the forenoon. We read and rested a great part of the afternoon. Monday June 6th 1898 I had a big churning this morning and was busy with the came of the chickens and getting the dinner. I worked a little in the garden. Tuesday June 7th 1898 I was busy with the work all forenoon and practiced a little in the afternoon. The weather is very hot. Thee was a rain storm tonight. I wanted to go to town this afternoon. Wednesday June 8th 1898 I worked a little in the garden and got the washing started before noon. Will helped me a little with it. I worked all afternoon and until nearly bed-time. I was so tired at night.
