Wednesday July 20th 1898 Ed helped me wash this morning. I put in the whole day at work doing sweeping and scrubbing after the dirt that blew in yesterday. Went to bed early. Thursday July 21st 1898 I did some baking and ironing this morning. I put in a little time at the piano and did some mending. weather growing warmer again. Friday July 21st 1898 I was busy most of the forenoon. Pink came back this morning. Ada and the children were here all the afternoon. I did some mending. weather warm. Saturday July 23rd 1898 I did baking and other work in the forenoon and practiced in the afternoon. weather very warm again. I am 47 years old today. Sunday July 24th 1898 It was about the hottest day I ever saw. Will and I went up home. The folks are back from camp and Hattie is nearly sick. We came home before it was late to do the chores. Callie was up in the evening. Monday July 25th 1898 Still very warm. I did the work and practices some Will was looking about for help to do the stacking. The boys were busy doing odd jobs about the place. Tuesday July 26th 1898 The boys went to help Hart thresh today. Will is not very well. Pink came back today and we did the washing
