Friday September 16th 1898 We got to Pekin at six oclock. I left the girls there and got out to Delavan at half past eight. Jim Mason met me at the depot. I took a nap after dinner and then went over to Woolfs and stayed till bed-time. They walked back with me. Saturday September 17th 1898 I went over to Lizzie Duncans this forenoon and stayed till after dinner. She is not fully settled in her new house yet. I made three calls after dinner and went to Floras for supper and stayed till bed-time. Carl took me home. Sunday September 18th 1898 Laura and I went to church and about four oclock I went over to Woolfs. Went to the M E Church in the evening had a good visit after coming home before bed-time. Monday September 19th 1898 I went over to talk with Mr Moorehead about the Dwight property this morning. Made three calls and got back to Woolfs for dinner. About two oclock Joe took me over to Venes where I packed my valise and she took me to the five oclock train. I changed cars twice and got to Burlington at midnight. Went directly to the Harris House. Tuesday September 20th 1898 Lizzie took me to the depot and I started home at nine oclock. Will met me at Hill Siding. Mrs Lase had dinner ready. Will took her home in the afternoon. I unpacked my things and put them away and read some. Things had only gone on moderately will and I am very glad I came on home. Though I have had a delightful trip.
