Wednesday October 26th 1898 weather better today. The boys killed a hog in the forenoon and put hay in the barn in the afternoon. Ed went to town and brought out mail. I got the deed and Abstract from Delavan. I practiced some in the evening. Thursday October 27th 1898 I wrote some letters this morning before we began to work with the meat. It took us all day. The boys husked corn again today. I got the butter ready to go to town tomorrow. Friday October 28th 1898 Will and I took an early start to town. We met Ott going to Lone Tree so we could not fix up those papers today. We were over home for dinner and found the folks all about as usual. I did some shopping after dinner before time to come home. Saturday October 29th 1898 I did baking and other work this forenoon and we had dinner at eleven oclock. Will and I went to town, met Aunt Emma at Otts office and we fixed up the papers and sent them away. Got home in very good time. I practiced in the evening. weather disagreeable. Sunday October 30th 1898 I was busy about the work most of the forenoon and read a little. Will and I went up to Elmer Anderson and spent the afternoon. I let Pink go home this morning to stay awhile. Charlie was here all day. I put in the evening sorting over papers in our little desk. I picked out all papers about the Dwight property.
