Friday November 11th 1898 I hurried through a lot of work this morning and Will went down after Pink. We had dinner by eleven and started to town by twelve. I found Edith some better today and Fanny and I went to the receptions, one at Mrs Crees and at Mrs Lodges. Did not got home till night. Spent the evening talking to Mother. Saturday November 12th 1898 I helped a little with the morning and went over to Mary Woolfs to stay till after dinner. Edith rested quite well last night but does not sit up at all. Mother and I were in town a little while in the afternoon made a couple of calls and did a little shopping. We spent the evening down at Otts. Edith had some fever in the afternoon but spent a comfortable evening. We do not go in the room much to disturb her. The Dr comes every day. Sunday November 13th 1898 Edith passed a very good night. I went to church, when I got home found Will there. While Edith did not seem any worse The Dr makes us very anxious by giving us to understand there may something serious develop yet. We came home very low spirited. Monday November 14th 1898 Will and Charlie took 60 young hogs to Hill Siding and it was one oclock when they got ready for dinner. I went down to Callies in the afternoon and got the children to go down after Pink. John Stevens came down tonight to tell us that Edith was better today the girls were up
