Measure Cake Take 4 cups of flour, 3 of Sugar 1 of Butter 1 of Milk 3 Eggs 1 1/2 teaspoonfulls of pearl ash, a little Brandy and Spice to your taste Loaf Cake Take 1 Quart of Milk 1/14 lbs of Sugar 3/4 of a lb of Butter 5 Eggs a little Yeast. If you wish spice Nutmeg and Cinnamon then put in flour untill it Becomes a Stiff Batter
