Monday July 2 1894 I was busy in the morning preparing dinner to take to the valley for the boys. Rob and I got down with it in good time and we had quite a picnic. Went over to Aunt Ellens a little while I did some mending after I came home and looked after my chickens Tuesday July 3 1894 I did baking and made a pan of [illegible] chicken this morning besides doing other work We went in town after dinner and took Rob home. he had a good time I got supper and did my evening work after coming home I have had about fifty chickens hatch the last two days Wednesday July 4 1894 I got my work done up and things prepared to go in [home?] to the picnic It was eleven oclock when we got there. Some of the valley folks had come and quite a number from town. It was a pleasant picnic. Will and I came home before supper It was a delightful day just cool enough to be fine Thursday July 5 1894 I was busy with my work all the forenoon. After an early dinner I went in home and [Mother?] and I went over to Woolfs to visit with [illegible] Mathewes. had a pleasant afternoon. I brought Mother home and it was late when I got home. Got my supper and did my work. The boys were putting up hay. Friday July 6, 1894 I went down after Mother early this morning. We got back about ten oclock. We got dinner and spent the
