Sunday August 5th 1894 I was late getting my work done up. Mother and John were out for some apples. After dinner I laid down and took a good sleep. But for all that I felt very sick and could not get supper without Wills help. went to bed early with headache. Monday August 6th 1894 I felt some better this morning but am far from well. Will went to town twice with apples. I was all alone in the afternoon. Father & Mother drove out after supper to see home I was. Hattie is not well. weather very warm. Tuesday August 7th 1894. I felt as badly all the forenoon that I could hardly get Wills dinner. he went to town in the afternoon and got Alice Gilpen to come home to work for me till I felt better. Mr Robinson and Fanny were here in the evening. Wednesday August 8th 1894 I helped about the forenoon work and baked a cake Will was busy going to town and making arrangements for his threshing. We sold and delivered the little bay team today and got $150.00 for it. I do not feel much better. Thursday August 9th 1894. An extremely hot day. I was very sick in the night I ate a little breakfast I felt better. I baked bread and pies and fixed other things for supper tonight as we expected the threshers. It was late when they got here but they got done and
