Tuesday August 14th 1894 We put the clothes out this morning and I helped some about the work. There was a man here from Cedar Rapids for dinner. he bought 40 bushels of apples. I slept most of the afternoon and helped with the evening work. Wednesday August 15th 1894 I helped iron some and put up sweet apple preseves today. I feel better than in two weeks. Mr Hedges was out for apples. The first time he has been here since he went away. The Steves girls and Laura were here and after supper Ott & Annabel were out for some apples. Thursday August 16th 1894. I made some more apple jelly today. Mother and helped with the work. I invited Mr. Hedges and Charlie in to dinner. I do not feel so very well. Saturday August 18th 1894. I helped with the morning work and had got the dinner started when Mother & Robbie came to spend the day. Uncle Jacob was here in the afternoon. Fanny & Annabel brought the baby out for a ride in the evening and Will & I went to town in the evening. Friday August 17th 1894 We were busy most of the day with doing the work and putting up apples to day. Alice went over home awhile. Frank is making cider and Will took apple in town
