Sunday August 19th 1894 Frank Stevens and Laura were here awhile this morning. After they went home Will and I went in town. I was at Murphys office a few moments and we took dinner at Otts by invitation. Alice came to help get supper after we came home. read most of the evening. Mrs Hartsock died. Monday August 20th 1894 Alice and I were most of the forenoon getting up dinner and cleaning up the house. Will took in some apples and waited for the noon train to bring Laura out. She had been at Lone Tree. Just as we finished dinner Aunt Melinda and Charlie came to get dinner for. There were others here in the afternoon for apples. Tuesday August 21st 1894 I was busy all forenoon with the work and getting the dinner. Will discharged the tramp this morning and got young Charlie Hedges to work for him. Laura and I went in town some after dinner. We called at Chalfonts on the fiolks from Chicago but did not find them. They were all here Sunday and missed of us. We then went on over the river and I helped Hattie put in her quilts. It was six oclock when we got home. Wednesday August 22nd 1894. Alice was sick and could not come back to work. I got through with the work very well in the afternoon. Will hitched the mules to the surrey
