Wednesday October 24th 1894 I was busy all forenoon with my work for I made jelly and chopped tomatoes for pickle. I went to the aid society in the afternoon. I was busy till nearly bed time with my work,. The men are working on the new crib [the following text is written vertically in the right margin of the above entry] wrote to Vene. Thursday October 25th 1894 I made jelly this morning and put my pickle away. The men made a barrel of cider today. I went down to Mrs Cochrans to the Missionary meeting in the afternoon. It blew up cold as I came home I dressed chicken and fixed more tomatoes in the evening. Friday October 26th 1894 I was at work at home all day. I finished my pickle, baked bread and cake, swept the house and cleaned lamps besides working with the plants. It was rainy this morning and the men fixed another crib. In the afternoon they began to put in the corn. It is ten years today since Will and I were engaged to be married. Saturday October 27th 1894 I got my work done early. Uncle Jim and Aunt Ellen were here for dinner. The men went in town after dinner We had a good visit here at home. I wrote letters all the evening. It was a fine day.
