Monday May 6th 1895 It was showery this morning. I had some little chickens hatching to look after and did baking we went to town in the afternoon to get a lot of things. It rained on us nearly all the time we were gone Miss Linder had got home from school. I made some towels in the evening I got today. Tuesday May 7th 1895 I was busy with the work all the forenoon. Will fixed a box at the well to put the milk in. My hens that are setting gave me extra trouble today as they got out of the hen house. I washed windows in the afternoon. This is Wills birthday. he began to plant corn. Wednesday May 8th 1895 I cleaned the lid for the milk box and fixed a comfort to cover it with in the forenoon. I put more chickens out today. In the afternon I washed more windows and put on the netting. It was warm today. Thursday May 9th 1895 I washed this forenoon alone and got the kitchen and porches cleaned. I churned the first thing after dinner and then went to town for things needed. It was a very hot day for the time of year. Did the evening work. This is Hatties birthday. Friday May 10th 1895 I ironed and got dinner in the forenoon. Edith & Mother were out. It turned very much cooler at evening. I did the evening work and got the butter ready to go to town tomorrow. Will is planting corn
