Friday August 16th 1895
I had a busy forenoon doing baking and picking
the pickles. Will was in town. In the afternoon we
went out to Bradleys. After we came back I worked
on some pears to put them up. Oliver went to help
the neighbors thresh. another hot day.
Saturday August 17th 1895
Will went down town this morning with the butter.
I finished the pears, pickled pickles and got the
dinner. We went down in the afternoon. I was over home. 
The folks were all going to the show and I stayed to go
with them. It was first rate. Will came for me.
Sunday August 18th 1895
It was late when we got up and I was busy all the forenoon
with the wiork. I wrote to May and read some. Late in 
the afternoon Will and I went down to the lower potato patch.
After we came back I got supper over. went to bed early.
Monday August 19th 1895
Will helped me wash and then went to the valley
before noon. I got the dinner and folded some clothes
to iron. Mother and Rob came in the afternoon. Charlie &
Tishie Hedges soon after and Charlie McCallister just
as I had supper ready. It was late when I got the work done.
Tuesday August 20th 1895
I put up some peas and picked apples to dry in the 
forenoon. We went to town in the afternoon to get
things for the chickens. I called at Chalfants.
We were busy the evening work till late. warm today.
The Stevens boys were here in the morning. Will was down town.
