6 A purgin Ale R sarsaparilla ℥ii polypody of ye oake. Sena. an. ℥iiii Caroway-Seed aniseed an. ℥ss Liquorish ℥ii Maiden hair agrimony an. a hand full Scurvy half a bushel beat all these grosly and put them into a Canvass bag and hang it in four gallons of ale when it is four days old drink it Syrup of Turnips bake the turnips in a pot with bread then press out ye Liquour- between two platters. put a pint of this Liquour to half a pint of hysop water and as much brown Sugar candy as will Sweeten it. boil to ye consistence of a Syrup. For a cold or Consumption
