A sure and aproved way of cureing the dropsie Take the young roots of an elder Slice them and [bruse?] them in a mortar and then [steep?] them in white wine and so lett the patient drink as often as he will. you canot well Ear in ye quantity lett them steep two full tides and for his diet let it be water gruel with ye vine of an Elder stick scraped downwards put into it. A sure and certain way of cureing the stone
