22 A Salve Take rosin 8 [oz?] virgins wax 4 [oz?] Frankincense 4 [oz] harts suet 4 [oz] mastick 1 [oz] camphire 2 [oz] beat ye rosin mastick and frankincense in a mortar together to fine powder then melt ye rosin and wax together then put in ye powders and when they are all melted strain it through a cloth into a Quart of white wine and boile it together till it be thick then let it cool and put in ye Camphire and 4 [oz] of venice turpentine drop by drop lest it clumpes Stirring it continually then make it up into Rolls. Virtue and use of it It is good for all wounds and sores old or new in any place
