48 For the Cramp. Take a handfull of periwinkle a handfull of rosemary tops put them in a pewter dish and set them upon the coals dry them and when they are very hot lay them upon the place and bind a cloth upon them. for ye bit of a mad dog or stinging of an Adder. Take a handfull or more of hazle nuts a quarter as much rue with a clove of garlick stamp all these together then take ye juyce and put a little treacle to it. If a man be bit give it him in bear if a dog give it in milk take ye herbs and bind to ye sore
