53 Att the dawning of the day and so may you (by ye grace of god) goe boldly into all infection of the ayre and plague. A good barley water. Take half a pound of faire barly a gallon of water half an ounce of Licorice fennel seed Violets and parsley seed of each a quarter of an ounce dry hysop and sage of each a penny weight six Leaves of [harts?]tongue a quarter of an ounce of figgs and raysins Seethe all these in a new pot of cold water and then Straine them cleare from it and drinke it it is good in Fevers or Agues
