Sunday Jan 14th 1872 Mother and Rob went to church I did up the work wrote a letter to Lou Reeves, got the dinner there was only us children here to dinner after I got the work done up and dressed I read till Mr Huebner came him and I attended church at the Baptist Mr Adkins text was Matthew Ps. 25. Lo: there thou hast that which is thine, he preached as well as I ever heard him after we came home had lunch Mr H did not stay much over an hour A light fall of snow tonight. Monday, Jan 15th 1872 This has been a very windy and disagreeable day. School today did not get home till four oclock tonight. Charlie brought me a good long letter from Pete he has been up to Mansfield but was to Newark when he wrote I answered it tonight wrote twelve pages did not get to bed very early the wind is still blowing. Mother washed today. Tuesday Jan 16th 1872 A still cold day. Taught today Alice Miller stopped at the school house today to tell me herself and Mother were going to spend the day with us tomorrow I ironed some this evening
