and wrote a note to Aunt Em inviting her to spend the day with us Sunday, went to bed early. Wednesday Jan 17th 1872 A very pleasant day for winter time although it clouded up toward evening and tried to snow when I came home Mrs Robinson and daughter was here in a short time after George Nelson and wife came to stay all night after we had got the supper over I wrote a letter to Dr Harrington sent him the picture I had taken for him some time ago went to bed quite early. Thursday Jan 18th 1872 Taught today ironed some after I came home and read a little in the evening weather pleasant. Friday Jan 19th 1872 Before I went to school this morning done up the Republican to send to Pete Mother went to town and was gone a short time while she was gone Mr H was here. Rob went to society tonight I finished the ironing tonight also finished reading a book Hatt had borrowed from Mollie entitled the watchman. Weather cloudy thawing and slight fall of snow the prospects are it will turn colder tomorrow is saturday
