22nd Saturday Feb 17th 1872 Oh how lazy and good for nothing I have felt today We did not get up very early Charlie and Ira went to the valley for a load of wood Flo and I was down to Mrs Thornburys a little while I had a letter from Jake Condon and a pamphlet from Mr Irish. Aunty did not go home till after dinner Wrote a few lines to Bertie. This evening Charlie & Flo Ira & myself attended the ladies society enjoyed it very much Was into the store twice got some butter scotch and cut up to heat every thing sat up quite awhile after we came home. Weather pleasant Sunday February 18th 1872 A cloudy misty day The boys said they saw Mr H_ when they were in town this morning Rob was to SS and church Us four were over to Mollies awhile this afternoon After dinner Hattie curled Flo's and my hair We all went to church tonight John and I to the Universalist Miss Chapin preached a doctrinal sermon recieved a book entitled Universalism true and false. It sleeted some tonight making the walking very tiresome
