36th me Cousin Jim Mason came to Iowa City this morning I was very glad to see him he brings satisfactory word from all the friends there. I did not get home till pretty late and Oh what a fearful headache I had got to bed as soon as I could after supper Weather pleasant for the time of year Friday March 15th 1872 Charlie gave me two letters this morning one was from Mr Stevens he says that school is engaged I begin to think I am not going to get a school this year the other was from Mr Huebner I answered his and wrote a note to Uncle Jim Mc The folks went to the valley this morning I was busy till late with the work I sewed some today got supper early Jim and Charlie came back tonight after supper Charlie went to the depot with him he made rather a short stay I went over to Mrs Ogles to have my dress fitted and did not get home till just night Mr Huebner was over and spent the eve played cards and had a pleasant time Weather not very pleasant for this time of the year The walking is getting pretty bad Jim Mc here for dinner today
