The University are having a grand jollification over their appropriation I had an urgent invitation to go over and thought I had not ought to be out after night. I saw Uncle Jim today he is very anxious to have me take that school. It has been such a pleasant day. Saturday April 6th 1872 Another rainy Saturday. I dident feel as well today as I did yesterday. Mother cut up the hog and fried out the lard. Charlie was to town, no letters. He got some stuff to make me some medicine. it took all the evening to make it. An awful dark muddy night there was to have been a sociable at the University but it was postponed.
