57th Monday May 6th 1872 I helped do the washing this morning and in the afternoon worked in the yard it rained heavily just before night. In the evening I wrote a letter to Flo and a note to Mr Huebner A year ago today Anna Gilbert and I went up to Aunty Walkers on the train. Was awful tired tonight went to bed early. Tuesday May 7th 1872 I did the ironing this forenoon and in the afternoon went to town was into the store and stayed quite awhile Did intend to get me a hat could not find any thing to suit me and concluded to wait till the last of the week. Was into see Sadie and her and I went over to see Sallie Hart Supper was ready when I got home and I helped do up the work and went to bed had a letter from Mr Huebner, today Wednesday May 8th 1872 They were tearing down the old wood house today they are going to fix it up for a summer kitchen. Mother and I got the work done and watched them I sewed a little in the afternoon Uncle Robert Walker stayed here tonight
