93rd and staid till after supper I went back up street again met Mr Huebner and he walked home with me and spent the evening We stopped at Lauras and she played and sang some for us I could not realize that this is my last evening at home for some time. Tuesday August 20th 1872. I helped do up the work this morning and then packed my trunk The folks came up quite early Aunt Sarah was not well while she was here and Grand-ma was sick to It kept us very busy getting dinner and waiting on the sick folks Laura was over in the afternoon when I was dressing We had an early supper and then went to the depot Charlie and Laura walked over with me and Mr Huebner came over there after bidding our friends good-bye. We started eastward traveled all night and arrived at Peoria at six oclock the next morning. Wednesday August 21st 872. We went over to Pekin this morning and missed the connection there and were obliged to wait all day. Jim Mason and several others were over there that came to Delavan in the evening when I did I wrote a few lines to Mr Huebner while
