98th September 2nd 1872 The first thing this morning Ett, Maggie and I dressed and took a drive down town got home just as dinner was ready. In the afternoon we went down to Duncans Ira and Tom came down in the evening came home in very good season. Had a very pleasant ride. Tuesday September 3rd 1872. We washed this morning in the afternoon some of the girls went to town Mrs Mollie Pratt was here all the afternoon After an early supper Ira hitched up to the double buggy and we all rode down town with Mrs Pratt and then went out to Browners and spent the evening very pleasantly, though it is very tiresome to be out every evening. I recieved two letters from Mr Huebner one written Friday and one Sunday I wrote to him this afternoon Wednesday September 4th 1872 In the morning it was raining We ironed and at noon Ett took Maggie down to the depot We were all the afternoon making preparations to attend the fair tomorrow It cleared of beautifully in the afternoon
