105th Monday September 23rd 1872 Most an awful windy morning I packed my trunk and We started west on the eleven oclock train had a pleasant trip made all the connections and got home on the night train I did not mind it at all for it did not tire me as it does to travel in the night. Charlie met us at the depot. The folks were not expecting us so soon and had gone to bed. Tuesday September 24th 1872. Hattie and Lee went to the valley today and as it stormed they did not get back tonight. I helped do the work and went over to Lauras a few moments: In the afternoon She came over to see me and stayed till after supper. I wrote to J.J.H. today. Wednesday September 25th 1872 Hattie and Lee came home this morning and she was sick, I was busy all day cleaning up the house and helping with the work Winnie was over this afternoon I had a letter from Mr Huebner that had been to Delavan. Thursday September 26th 1872 I helped do the work. Mr Brooks was here to work on the kitchen and Mrs B__ came visiting after dinner I wrote a letter to Venie
