107th Monday, September 30th 1872 They were at work on the kitchen today After dinner Mother went to town I was sewing on those shirts. Just before night I got up and cleaned up the house and got the supper going. Laura was over twice today I had a letter from Mr Huebner. Tuesday Oct 1st 1872 I did up the work this morning and had just got ready to sit down to my sewing when here came a buggy load of the Valley folks and helped about dinner and we were only just through eating when Jim Templeton called to take me out riding We went out to Coralville and over to town it was an extremely pleasant afternoon I had a letter from Cousin Venie and one from J.J. Huebner answered his. Wednesday Oct 2nd 1872 We washed this forenoon, I sewed some in the afternoon I went over to Brooks and stopped at Lauras a few moments When I came home I brought in the clothes and folded them up ready to iron I had a letter from Mr Huebner wrote to him this evening. This has been a lovely day
