Friday October 4th 1872 I helped about the work this forenoon. After dinner I dressed and went over to Lauras from there I went to town Was up to Mrs Huebner's but did not find her at home. Stopped at Sade's a few moments When I came home Laura came with me and stayed till after supper I trimmed me a hat this evening to wear to the sociable tomorrow night. Saturday October 5th 1872 I was all the forenoon doing the house work. Laura was over at noon It began to rain in the afternoon Charlie was in the valley and did not get home Rob and I did not go to the sociable I was so disappointed I wanted to go Had a letter from Mr Huebner
