111th Sunday October 13th 1872 Helped do up the work in the morning read some and after dinner Mother and I went over to Billingsleys and to Givens it was almost night when we got home. I was not feeling very well so I went to bed quite early. It was a cold chilly day. Monday October 14th 1872 The first thing this morning Mother and Ott took Father to Solon in the buggy he is to take the train there for Dubuque. Hattie did most of the morning work and I was sewing. I partly made her a dress skirt and a couple of chemise bosoms. Mother and Otto got home at three in the afternoon I had a letter from Mr Huebner today The weather is some-what pleasanter than it was yesterday. Tuesday October 15th 1872 Mother went to town in the forenoon I sewed. Just as I was getting ready to go over to Lauras wedding Mother came home so we both went Did not get there in time to see the ceremony Had a splendid supper. I did so hate to have Laura go away. I cut out some work in the evening. Had a letter from Mr Huebner This has been a lovely Indian Summer day.
