208th Friday October 31st 1873 We cleaned the kitchen today. The weather was some-what pleasanter. It was nearly night when we got through I washed a little in the morning and that made us late getting started at the house cleaning. I had a letter from Mr Huebner today. Wrote a note to Owen in the evening. Saturday November 1st 1873. We did the baking this forenoon and I sort of finished regulating the house generally. Late in the afternoon Hatt and I went to town in the buggy to do the marketing. As soon as we came home Charlie and Hatt got ready to go to the valley to stay all night, but they only fairly got started when it began to rain and they came back home I thought Owen would come over to supper but he did not come. I wrote a letter to Mr Huebner tonight. Sunday November 2nd 1873. I wrote a little in the forenoon and I took some time to prepare dinner. Cal Given took dinner with us. In the afternoon I took a walk down to Robinsons it was nearly night when I got home. I practiced all the evening.
