209th Monday November 3rd 1873 It was quite a pleasant day. I did a large washing, besides washing two quilts. In the afternoon Mother and I went to town We had only just home when Owen came over he stayed till after supper I ironed till bed time. Tuesday November 4th 1873. Mother and I got an early start to go to Aunt Libs We stopped at Aunt Ellens and Aunt Emma's We had a very pleasant visit The weather was fine it was nearly night when we got home. Jim Folsom was here in the evening. Wednesday November 5th 1873 I sewed a little today and helped do the baking, prepared supper to take with us tonight to the surprise party at Aunt Emma's. Annie Fletcher and Owen came over early and we started in good season for the valley Charlie and Annie in the buggy and the rest in the waggon. It was a lovely night and we enjoyed ourselves coming and going. And we had a splendid time while down there. Aunt Emma made it very pleasant for us. We got home at five in the morning had a letter from Mr Huebner today
