104 Apricot Paste Boil some very ripe Apricots to a pulp & rub it through a seive to every pound of pulp take one pound two ounces of fine sugar finely powdered beat well your pulp & put in your sugar by degrees when all is in give it a through heat over the fire but be very careful not to let it boil then scrape it all to one side of the pan & let it cool a little. then lay it on plates or Tins in what forms you like Dust them over with sugar & dry them in a stove or before the fire. To clean Furniture. Darling 1 Quart of Cold drawn Linseed oil 4 oz of Almond root put together in a little with half an oz of Rose pink, quarter of an oz of Gum arabic which you must. dissolve & boil first in half a pint of Vinegar add to the whole one ounce of Spirits of Turpentine all to well mixed together & let it stand one week & it is then fit for use to be rubbed on with a linnen rag & polished off with another piece of linnen rag
