Tooth Powder Take 3 oz of Amenian Bole 1/2 oz Gum Myrrh 4 scruples roach Alum rub them together into a very fine powder & then add a penny worth of powder of Myrrh Miss Lushinton Volatile Saline Draught Carbonate of ammonia 15 grains Distilled water 4 Drachms Camphor mixture 6 Do. Camphorated Tincture of Cardamums 1 Drachm Camphorated Tincture of Cinnamon 1 Drachm Syrup of Saffron 1/2 Drachm Mix for a draught to be taken with one spoonful of Lemon juice Mrs E R Infusion of roses Mrs Kingscote Dried Roses 1 oz Boiling water 5 pints Vitrialic acid white sugar two ozs Steep the roses in the boiling water in a Vessel not glassed with Lead four hours, then having poured them on the acid, strain the Liquor and add the sugar. To be taken four or five times a day. To remove wax from Silk Rub the part well with [butter?] which completely dissolves the wax without any strain To take Mildew out of Linen Rub the Part with Soap pound some chalk well & rub it into the Linen Wet it & put it out to bleach on the Grass when it dries sprinkle it with Cold water Miss Weeks
