To kill Bugs. Latcham Batt Sublimate of Mercury 1 oz dissolved in a little spirits of Wine camphor 1/2 oz Turpentine 1/2 a pint. with a few drops of oil of Amber - Be sure to shake it well befor you use it Take your Bedsteads quite down & wash them thoroughly with soap & water & a hard brush before before you anoint them with the mixture which you must do thoroughly with a little Brush Currie Powder 3 1/4 oz of Coriander seed 1 1/2 do of Black pepper 3/4 do of Clemnuir seed 1/2 do of Finiyre seed 1/4 do Cayenne pepper 1 1/2 do of pale turmeric all to be well dried for some hours before the fire & then mixed well for use & put in a dry bottle well corked Rice Pudding Mrs. Wheatly One small tablespoonful of Rice to a Pint of Milk boiled till soft a little thin Bread & Butter on the top of the pudding & bake it Fruit Drops Mrs. Bull Take Gooseberries before they are quite ripe put them in a stewpan Cover them close & let them stew till tender press them through a sieve & to every lb of pulp add a lb of Loaf Sugar pounded & sifted & the white of 1egg put it all together into a deep pan & beat it up until quite stiff drop it on white paper with a teaspoon & dry them in the Sun or before the fire or in a very close oven Cover them up close & keep them in a dry place. Raspberries or any other fruit may be done the same way.
