to equivocate upon Oaths break faith with Hereticks & to destroy all those that differ form them as if it were Piety in some cases to lie for y truth & to kill men for god's sake so that if we would approve y integrity of our hearts to god & evidence to our selves y sincerity of our obedience we ought impartially to regard all the sons of god and every part of our Duty & if we do not our hearts is not upright with god. tis observable that sincerity in scripture is often called by y name of integrity & perfection because it is integrated & made up of all y parts of our Duty [6?] y last evidence I shall mention of y sincerity of our Religion is, if it hold out against persecution & endure y fiery trial; this is y utmost proof of our integrity when we are called to bear y Cross to be willing then to expose all our world-ly [interest?] & even life it self for y cause of god & Religion;
