February, SATURDAY, 21, 1863. staid at Home today Chopped some wood & milked the cows as Edwin stoped at Rockford yester -day. a Crazey man [Willow Barr] staid Here yesterday Violet Lea Farm. SUNDAY, 22. Father Durno went to meeting at [illegible] all the rest of us at Home. Jane had a severe Headache in cons equence of a Bad Cold. Cold weather MONDAY, 23. Uncle & me plastered some patches in Janes Room, and she fixed it up and cleaned it and moved into it. I carried water choped wood and made myself usefull generally. pleasant weather
