April, SATURDAY, 4, 1863. I got a letter from Jane today. I gave the Boys of Co "C" a slight treat of 40 bottles of Harp beer. I wrot letter for Lawrence [Toft?] to His Wife. I drew an Enfield Rifle & accoutrts. SUNDAY, 5. I went to M. E Church in the City to day members have to take the oath of Aleigance before joining. I got a letter from Jane acknowledging $31,00, and Box with presents I sent from Davenport. MONDAY 6. Recd. two months pay to March 1" 1863. sent by letter to George L. Henderson $10.00 Cash to aply on my a/c. To concert to day and Theatre on the 7", [illegible], Very dry Weather
