April, MONDAY, 13, 1863. Passed Napoleon, and the mouth of Arknsas River. The mouth of White River, which was watched by Gun Boats Passe two Brigades at the entrance of Lake Providence Cut off. Heavy Rain TUESDAY, 14. Reached Milikens Bend at 8 oclock A. M. Grants Head Quarters. disembarked at Black Walnut Bayaou, Louisiana within 5 miles of Vicksburgh we are in Tuttles Brigade of Smiths Division. WEDNESDAY, 15. Duck Port Luisiana Camped on Duck Port plantation near the Red River Cut off. the ground is about 6 feet below the level of river. Had a Special muster to day.
