April, WEDNESDAY, 22, 1863. We fixed up our Tents to day, made bunks &c., We are still drilling in the [Bayouds?] exercise. Col J J Woods acting Brigadier. Heavey Rain last night THURSDAY, 23. nine Transports started to run the Blockade last night 8 passed and one destroyed Terrible Cannonade for two Hours Very hot Weather FRIDAY, 24. I mailed a Letter to Jane To day sending the Specimens of rose blossoms of 5 or 6 varieties. An order for Consolidating small Regts. in to Battalions of 5 Companies Came to our Division to day
