April, SATURDAY, 25, 1863. I mailed a letter to David B. Henderson put some rose buds for Mother in letter An Order Came today ordering the consolidation of all Regiments under 500 men into 5 or less Companies. SUNDAY, 26. efforts were made by the officers of our Regt. to get the Consolidation order enforced with regard to our Regiment but failed. I wrote a letter to Jane. We march tomorrow for Vic MONDAY, 27. our marching orders were Countermanded just as we were ready to start. And muster Rolls sent in to be made out for muster on the 30th. seen a Chicago Tribune the first since we came
