Camp on Bear Creek August, MONDAY, 17, 1863. our Company was drilled this forenoon by Major Stibbs Regt-al Comander. Capt Warner sick this morning. no one allowed to Leave Camp with passes. Rebel Cavilry are seeking straglers. TUESDAY, 18. I was taken very sick last afternoon by Vomiting, I think Caused by Lemonade with Tartarac acid in it. I had charge of Company on General Inspection to day. Capt Warner some better,, WEDNESDAY, 19. I Recd. a letter from David with one from Mother & Margret Garvey inclosed to me. I wrote to Maggie.
